Mount Pleasant Mind View

BISSA are delighted to announce that a painting, commemorating 120 yrs of Rugby at Mount Pleasant has been unveiled. With acknowledgements to players over that period, as either representing their countries, touring, plus being record holders whilst at the club. It was commissioned by a supporter and sponsored by 2 anonymous supporters and has now been completed. It has been hung and is currently on show in the Bryan Cooney suite. BISSA intend to present the painting formally to the club at a later date.

The artist, Frank Hiley, is a local person from Bradford, and has works in various galleries and on his personal website, covering items from views of the Dales to abstract works.

Prints in various sizes, are available in canvas form or quality paper form, with a price example of 20″ x 15″ from £15 to £35. For further details of other options please contact Colin Bottomley of BISSA on 07864878999.

BISSA were also delighted to unveil the work of art at a recent Breakfast club, who helped greatly in compiling the information regards the former players on the painting, and we were also delighted that our own Billy Blunden had the pleasure of performing the task as he is depicted “running the line”.
It will certainly provide a talking piece and stir a lot of great memories. Plus we are sure, a lot of “discussions” regarding the merits of those depicted ,and indeed those who aren’t. ENJOY.
