Patch Walker will be with The Bulldogs until at least the end of 2018.
Walker’s influence has played a massive part in the side’s return to winning ways over recent weeks, with his goal kicking particularly key, and the new deal will see him spend a 3rd season with the club.
Head Coach Matt Diskin is excited to see one of his lieutenants committing to the next campaign. “This is great news, Patch is a crucial member of our squad. His calm approach and influence on the field is huge and he is without doubt one of the best kickers in the game, we’re thrilled he’s staying with us for another year.”
Walker’s signature comes thanks to the support once again of BISSA who have had a vital role in the development of the squad for over 14 years.
BISSA chair Colin Bottomley told us “BISSA are deighted to support the club with the re-signing of Patch Walker for the 2018 season despite fierce competition from other clubs.
“The funding allocated to support two season long loan deals for the current campaign has not been fuly utilised due to these players being needed by their parent club for a large part of the season, and so has been used for this purpose instead. It’s a fantastic boost for the club ahead of the upcoming Championship Shield play-offs.
“Thanks to all members for their ongoing support and dedication”
